Open your own shop with a chest

Use chests, trapped chests or barrels to run your own shop.

Shops only work in commercial plots

You can only create a shop inside a plot set to shop with /plot set shop. Ask your mayor to set one up.

How to read commands (read this first)
  • name
    Replace it with your own value

    Shown as < > on this site. Don't type the < >.
    /town new <name> → /town new SakanaTown/town new <SakanaTown>

  • name
    Optional — you can leave it out

    Shown as [ ] on this site. Don't type the [ ] either.
    /home [name] → /home or /home base

  • on/off
    Pick one of them

    Shown separated by |. Type just one, without the |. Each option is explained under the command.
    /plot toggle pvp|fire → /plot toggle pvp/plot toggle pvp|fire

Click a command row to copy it up to the part you fill in yourself.

01Creating a shop

To use a command instead, look at the chest and run /qs create <price>.

  1. Place a chest (or barrel) in a commercial plot
  2. Hold the item you want to sell and left-click the chest
  3. Type the unit price in chat — your shop is ready and a sign is added automatically

02Buying and selling (customers)

  • Right-click the sign to see the shop's owner, price and stock in chat. Press [Preview item] to check enchantments and more
  • Left-click (hit) the sign and type an amount in chat to buy (or to sell, for a buying shop). Type all for as many as possible, or cancel to stop

03Managing your shop (owners)

  • Left-click your shop's sign to open the control panel
  • You can't buy from or sell to your own shop (including shops you're staff of)
  • Shop chests are locked automatically — only the owner and staff can open them
